First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta

A Sesquicentennial Story

The “mother” First Presbyterian Church Atlanta in the heart of Atlanta is over 160 years old and showing no signs of slowing down. Bookhouse was commissioned to tell the story of its proud history and many firsts, including being the first church in America to do a radio and television broadcast, and the first to have a kindergarten. In the 1960s and 70s, it ministered to the homeless counter culture of Atlanta’s downtown and now runs several additional ministries and spreads its good work around the globe.

A huge thank-you to the staff of Bookhouse Group for telling the story of First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta so well. We are so proud of our Church, proud of our people, and proud of the role we have played in Atlanta’s history. Your excellent work made it all possible.
